We are now ready to take you to Rukmini Devi Temple Dwarka, which is owned by Lord Krishna. It is one temple dedicated to Rukmini (the wife of the Queen of Dwarka and Lord Krishna).

I was amazed by the Rukmini Temple, located a few kilometers from Dwarkadheesh Temple in Dwarka.
It will be fascinating to you, not only because of the architecture but also because of the legends surrounding it.
Dwarka Rukmini Temple is the top-ranked place in Dwarka. It is certainly smaller than the Dwarkadheesh Temple, and its rituals are less extensive than the main temple.
I fell in love with the site because of the complex and mysterious Rukmini Devi stories found in its designs.

History and Dwarka
All over the globe, Lord Krishna of Dwarka has been a very well-known figure. There are many stories about his witty actions as a child, his justice, and his success as an adult as well as his teachings as a teacher. His chief queen Rukmini is little known, despite his popularity.
Her life story is equally fascinating, and Rukmini Devi Temple Dwarka reflects many of the chapters in her life. This unique Dwarka Rukmini Mandir was the result of one such chapter.
Rukmini Devi Temple
Mythology says Rukmini was an incarnation of Lakshmi Devi (the wife of Vishnu). You all know that Krishna was one of the ten incarnations of Vishnu. To be with him, Lakshmi was conceived as Vidarbha's princess. After their marriage, she was in Dwarka with Lord Krishna for a time.
Lord Krishna and Rukmini, their wife, were invited to the palace by Durvasa Maharshi Yadava (the guru (clangors) and honoree in the Yadava kingdom). Durham, the sage, agreed to marry Rukmini but required that they pull their chariot.
Lord Krishna and Rukmini began pulling the chariot towards Dwarka. Dwarka Rukmini, who had just walked a few kilometers earlier, was thirsty. There was no river or well visible. Krishna put his right foot into the ground and Ganga emerged.
Rukmini was able to drink a bit before Durvasa Maharshi became angry that he hadn't given her water before. She cursed her husband for not allowing her to stay together, and Krishna Rukmini Temple Dwarka became her new home.
Although the temple was believed to be more than 2500 years old at one time, the current structure dates back to the 12th century. It is situated in an area that is slightly deserted, about 2km from the main Dwarkadheesh Temple. It is not connected to any freshwater sources.
Dwarka Architecture
The Rukmini Devi Temple, like the main Dwarka Temple, was also in urban style. This style is the norm for temples in North India. These temples feature a complex, long dome.
Rukmini Temple, Dwarka's highlight of the dome is Rukmini Temple. The Dwarka Rukmini Devi Temple, although it is smaller than the Dwarkadheesh Temple in size, is still very artistic.
Each inch of the dome was carved to resemble its walls. Below the main ridge is the sanctum sanctorum, or inner sanctum. The outer walls are surrounded by the perimeter (perimeter), unlike other temples that have a perimeter within the temple.

Best Time To Visit Rukmini Temple

Dwarka is home to a railway station, and it was well connected by road with all major cities of Gujarat.
By Air:
Two airports serve Dwarka. The first airport is located at Porbandar (105 km from Dwarka). Dwarka can be reached by train, or by following the road route from the airport. Jamnagar is 131km from Dwarka.
