History of Kolhapur Mahalaxmi Temple

First Story

According to documented records that have been found, the timeline of Kolhapur Mahalaxmi Temple dates back to the Chalukya period between the year 550 AD to the year 660 AD. The Chalukyas constructed the first temple in this particular time which is evident in the distinct style of architecture.
