University operates on a schedule of two sessions each year i.e. the semester system, and an option-based credit system for postgraduate and undergraduate courses. The semester system is in effect in the months of August-January and February-July.

There are thousands of exams that are conducted at the University of Kerala for various classes offered by all affiliated colleges. University provides a single-window online facility in the form of an exam portal (www.exams.keralauniversity.ac.in) to all the students for university examination enrollment, registration, timetable, admit card download, and checking the result.

Kerala University uploads the result for all examinations on its website. Students are required to look it up and download their results from the website only.
