1. Campbell Bay National Park:

It is located on Great Nicobar Island, the largest island of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the eastern Indian Ocean. The park is an integral part of the Great Nicobar Biosphere Reserve and received national status in 1992. It is next to the small Galatea National Park. A buffer forest area separates them.

2. Galathea National Park:

It is also located on the island of Great Nicobar in the Nicobar Islands. The park is adjacent to Campbell Bay National Park, located in the eastern Indian Ocean and the Great Nicobar Biosphere Reserve. It is home to rare fauna and flora which are not commonly found elsewhere due to its isolation and dense vegetation. The unique Nicobar Pigeon and Giant Robber Crab are found in the tropical broadleaf.


3. Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park:

This park is located in Vandur, Andaman Islands. It is 29 km from Port Blair. It consists of 15 small islands. The season runs from October to April when tourists flock to the Jolly Buoy or Red Skin Islands. Adventurers flock to kayak in glass-bottom boats, snorkel or scuba dive and enjoy the colorful marine life and coral reefs.

This area is a protected area. Its marine life is very valuable. It also ensures better living conditions for the islanders who are mainly tribal.

Tarmugli, the largest island in the cluster, is covered with dense mangroves that are vital to the ecological balance.



4. Button Island National Parks:


Based on their names, there are three types of button islands. Each has unique fauna and flora.

Middle Button Island:

The park is located near Port Blair and is famous for the breeding and protection of spotted deer.

North Button Island:

It is located in the Andaman district, near Long Island. The area is home to dugongs and dolphins. They are best seen between December and March every year.

South Button Island:

The park is located southwest of Havelock Island. Its main attraction is the shallow water coral reefs, which are easily visible and popular with scuba divers worldwide.



5. Mount Harriet Island National Park:

It is located in Ferrarganj region and has Mount Harriet, the third highest peak on earth. Harriet Tytler was a British soldier's wife and naturalist. The park is home to rare Andaman wild boars, elephants and turtles as well as robber crabs.



6. Saddle Peak National Park:

Saddle Peak, the highest peak in the region, is located in this national park. It is home to reptiles such as water monitor lizards or saltwater crocodiles. Wild boars, Andaman imperial pigeon and wild boars also make this area a haven. Scotopia pusilla and Cleistanthus robustus, an evergreen tree, are some of the unique flora found here.
