GATE 2023 Exam Cities: 23 cities have been added by IIT Kanpur for GATE 2023 exam. Application deadline is 30th August.




GATE 2023 will be conducted this year by IIT Kanpur in 219 cities in India and 8 cities worldwide. Thanks to IIT Kanpur facilitating students from rural communities, 23 new cities have been introduced to the list this year. Exams are scheduled in February and registrations will begin on April 30. Engineering Gate 2023 Graduation Aptitude Test (GATE) exam schedule has been announced. Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur will conduct the GATE 2023 exam this year. This year, IIT Kanpur has added 23 cities for the exam, giving preference to students in rural areas.


With the addition of 23 new cities, GATE will now be held in 219 cities across India. By 2022 GATE can be operated in 206 cities. Out of 206 cities, 10 have been eliminated and another 23 have been shortlisted by IIT Kanpur for this year's exam. The list of cities for the exam is now available at gate.iitk.ac.in and also below.



GATE 2023 exam cities are divided into eight zones. GATE is organized jointly with IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. Cities are then placed into these eight zones.


India Gate 2023 will be held in 219 cities across the world. It is possible to organize centers in cities like Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Male (Maldives), Port Louis (Mauritius), Singapore (Singapore). Thimphu (Bhutan). Candidates coming from abroad can appear in any of these cities as well as local cities. Complete list of cities is available below for easy reference.

As of now, the GATE 2023 exam is scheduled on February 4, 5, 11 and 12. Registration will start on 30 August 2022. Those interested in registering can do so till September 30, 2022 without paying late fee. Registrations are done through internet at gate.ittk.ac.in.
